When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Blue Ridge took time to pray about the next steps. God answered by providing a partnership with a Ukrainian couple, Andrey and Albina. Andrey remains in Ukraine, overseeing two locations in the city of Kharkiv that serve as relief centers and church plants for their communities. Albina is based in Roanoke, serving refugees in Virginia while raising their youngest daughter.

Since the war began, we have had the privilege of making several trips to Ukraine to support and encourage the local church. The Ukrainian church is actively serving their country by providing care, counsel, food, support, and sharing the gospel with those suffering through the war. They need prayer for continued endurance as they serve, and for the people they are ministering to follow Jesus.

Blue Ridge financially supports financially the second relief site and church plant, led by Pastor Oleg and his wife, Svetlana. We are honored to be their partners in the gospel. Please pray for them and their family. Additionally, we frequently collect medical supplies and funds through Be Rich to support the people of Ukraine during this challenging time.
