When Jesus was asked what the most important parts of scripture were, He said this:

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22: 37-40 (NIV)

Other places in scripture describe love as kind, never failing, and as a fruit of the Spirit of God in His people. As a missional church, and as part of our local missions initiatives, we want to keep this commandment in front of us as a part of our DNA as followers of Jesus. 

We have an ongoing kindness challenge this year to reach the one God puts in front of us through acts of kindness, big or small.
